Heart failure patients often require a range of intensive medical services, including physical, occupational and speech therapy, nutritional monitoring, and clinical care. Dementia and Memory Care
It is difficult to see a family member struggle with Alzheimer's or dementia, but it is comforting to know that Randolph Nursing & Rehabilitation offers a secure unit customized with body and mind stimulation for the need of those with memory loss.
At The Village Memory Care neighborhood, our experienced caregivers are specially trained in dealing with memory care issues. All personnel at our center receive dementia care training, but in this unit specific clinical personnel are routinely scheduled so residents see a familiar face each day.
In this safe, supportive environment, residents are treated with dignity and respect. Tour the hall and you will find memory boxes next to each room that contain personal and family photography and favorite sentiments that help them identify their room.
This recently expanded 28-bed unit has a spacious dining/day room that is perfect for both eating and various activities for residents and families. This unit is designed to stimulate residents' minds, bodies, and spirits through social, self-care, gross-motor, and sensory enhancement activities. The Village Memory Care neighborhood has its own activities coordinator who provides individualized activities throughout the day for each resident.

Our experienced team provides assistance with all aspects of managing diabetes including: blood glucose monitoring, insulin administration and tracking, exercise plan, menu planning, and education.
We teach our residents living with diabetes the best ways to manage the disease and keep control of their lives. Our registered dietitian will work with you to make smart food choices in the right amounts. Residents enjoy a balanced diet that spreads carbohydrates throughout the day to prevent high blood sugar levels after meals. Our residents are taught how to care for their feet, gums and eyes, and are shown how to incorporate exercise into their diabetes management program.
For residents who require therapy, our physical therapists will develop a customized program to increase your physical activity to improve insulin response and management.
As we age, the likelihood of falling increases dramatically. At Randolph Nursing & Rehabilitation, our interdisciplinary team is educated on fall risk factors and prevention strategies. Each resident is evaluated upon admission by nursing and occupational and physical therapy and receive an individualized treatment plan if they are at risk for falls. We teach residents ways to avoid falls and provide therapy to increase balance. For residents who have a history of falls, we assess the root cause to see why the fall occurred and map an individualized plan of care to prevent recurrence.

At Randolph Nursing & Rehabilitation, Intravenous (IV) therapy may be used to provide nutrition or medication and/or restore or maintain the body's normal fluid and electrolyte balance. Our nursing staff administers IV fluids according to physician orders, maintains and monitors injection sites, and changes tubing and dressing regularly.
Trans Parenteral Nutrition (TPN)
Trans Parenteral Nutrition (TPN) is utilized for patients who cannot or should not get their nutrition through eating. TPN may include a combination of sugar and carbohydrates (for energy), proteins (for muscle strength), lipids (fat), and electrolytes. TPN bypasses the gastrointestinal tract by infusing nutrients directly into the bloodstream through an intravenous line.
Your health care provider may measure the effectiveness and side effects of the treatment using laboratory tests and physical examinations. The length of treatment depends on how well the resident responds to the medication.We administer feeding solutions in accordance with each patient's nutritional and medical needs.
Whether treatment is needed for complex respiratory problems, on a short-term basis, or for continuous care, our team has you covered. With treatments for COPD, lung disease, cardiac disease, stroke, neuromuscular disease, and trauma, we are here to help you breathe easier. Our respiratory therapists are on-site 24/7, and also perform trach care.
Tracheostomy care is a highly specialized and delicate area of care that many skilled nursing centers are not able to offer. Through ongoing education and training, our staff is committed to providing the highest level of care for residents who need trach care. With a smile and gentle words of encouragement, we perform daily trach maintenance and comprehensive respiratory services in order to minimize complications, maintain stability and return the individual to their highest level of function.
Wound Care Therapy
Wounds can occur for a variety of reasons, from post-surgerical complications to normal skin aging. Our interdisciplinary wound care team includes physical and occupational therapists, registered dietitians and registered nurses. Our wound care team works closely with the resident's physician to prepare a plan of treatment that best addresses individual needs including pain management, healing, and nutritional requirements. As with all treatments, we involve the resident and the family in every step of the treatment plan. Treatment procedures may include nutrition interventions and would vac treatment.
Specialized supplies, treatments and equipment are utilized to enhance healing and comfort. Our staff are focused on infection prevention, healing of pressure ulcers and promotion of skin integrity.
